Human dignity is the quality of being worthy of esteem and respect. All humans have this dignity from the first moment of being- the moment of conception. Human dignity does not have to be earned because it is an inherent right, meaning it is inherited by us from God and cannot be taken away.
#2
God gave us an ability to think- we are rational beings who have intellect. God gave us free will- we have the capacity to choose from alternatives.
God gave us the ability to love- we can choose to do good for others.
God gave made us responsible beings- the free choices we make make us responsible beings.
God gave us the capacity to grow- we can think, choose, and love in a responsible way.
#3
Because we can think, we can discover truth. Because we have the ability to reason, we have the obligation to seek out the truth.
#4
Free will is the power rooted in reason to perform deliberate actions on ones own responsibility- it is our own capacity to choose from alternatives.
#5
The gift of freedom that God gave us is freedom- to choose between what is right and what is wrong, but we are to use this gift responsibly, as with any gift- but it is not a license to do whatever we want.
